Can structure and meter and rhyme convey
The way low, sweet music swims through your voice?
I look at you and forget what to say,
You ask me to stay like I have a choice.
Beethoven and Bach cannot get quite right
The sweet symphony of your hand in mine.
I would fracture the world, shatter the night
If only to hold it just one more time.
Don’t stifle your breath or muffle your words,
But let me love your melodious mind.
I know that I’m sounding slightly absurd
But you’re all I’ve ever wanted to find.
Now to wrap up this concluding measure:
Loving you is an absolute pleasure.
