Excellent at subtraction
The blue finch disappears
Into the blue expansion.
The fruit-shaped clouds
Take in the multicolored light,
And what remains is a blur
Of deeper colors,
A montage of hidden shades.
At this precise point,
The water engulfs the
Swarms of fish,
The ocean becomes opaque,
Dark metal full of painted waves,
A smoky glass of specters.
Somewhere through the levels
Of depths and fractals
The moon orbits into view,
Its pale face cross-hatched
By scars of whitened sand.
